Had a lovely meal here last night with my family for my Birthday! Our host was warm and welcoming and despite being so busy, she still made the time to have a nice chat with us. The food was delicious and fresh – the Paella in particular was very authentic. Would highly recommend it! We hope to be back again soon!
Every time I am in Wellington I make it a point to visit Olé Spanish Cuisine The food always fabulous, fresh and exiting. The service is very friendly, visitors are treated like special guests, the music is unique and a great mix of old, new, South American and Spanish music that puts you in a great mood, the desserts are all out of this world. A unique selection of drinks and Sangria. I am still working my way thru the menu and always find something new. It is a tiny venue, worth to get a table if you can. I Will positively be back again.
We just happen to pass Ole’ Spanish restaurant and decided to try it. We started with the pulled beef empanadas.. that was great. The Paella is a must order.. best Paella in Wellington and would compare it to the famous Socarat Paella bar in New York. What a hidden gem in Petone!! Staff is friendly and welcoming. They check to see if everything is okay with our food. We’ll definitely go back!!!

Fabulous food made with lov
If you’re after a quick meal that you eat and quickly forget this is not the place for you. If you want to linger over delicious wine, enjoying banter with the chef and dine on exquisite food that will transport you to far off locations then I can’t recommend Olē enough.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful rioja with a full flavoured beef stew (the last portion of the night so it must be a hit). My friend and I took our time, never feeling rushed enjoying wonderful conversation and reminiscing about holidays in Europe.
This place is a real treat.

This place is the best find. Violet makes the most delicious food and honestly it’s the best paella we’ve had since we lived in Spain in 2012. She’s amazing!!

In centre of Jackson st is a small cosy rustic restaurant . The aroma of Spanish cooking can be intoxicating and as you enter you are not disappointed. This is a small restaurant with only 5 tables so booking ahead would be a good idea. Using only quality ingredients the wait time is worth it. The Pan con tomato bread is very tasty and the Pasta Mediterranean is a mouthful of joy, however a few more shrimps and mussels would be good. Sometimes the best things are come from waiting a bit longer. The owner is very friendly and treats you like a special customer, something other eateries could learn by.

Fabulous meal! Tapas were delicious, especially the mushrooms on homemade bread. Highly recommend this tiny wee restaurant to all !!

Definitely be back!
Staying on business, I was looking for somewhere a little different and this restaurant was exactly what I was looking for. Offering both takeaway and dine-in; I chose takeaway to bring back to my motel. Meal amazing and will definitely be back!

three of us for dinner on a wintry Tuesday night, the only people there, lucky us! This is a cosy, but classy little place. Much humorous rapport with the leading lady, food was superb, and we all forced dessert down, probably shouldn’t have, but it was worth it!

Nice cosy place with great food and friendly staff. We had tapas for three of us. Our 9 year ate everything.

Just had a really delicious meal – we chose two mains and that was heaps – couldn’t fit in starters or desserts. Next time maybe!
